FirstPour vs Odoo: POS or business suite for your bar or café?
Short version: Odoo is a broad business suite of 30+ apps, built by a Belgian company; POS is just one of them. A free tier covers exactly one app, after that you pay per user per month, starting around €19.90, depending on plan and the running promotion.
FirstPour is built for businesses without a kitchen obligation: stock down to the centiliter, customer tabs that survive the close and a day that locks itself, sealed. €29.99 flat, everything included, your whole team with it, no annual contract.

What a bar is missing at Odoo
Odoo has no built-in feature for kegs, glasses or recipes. Setting up that pouring behavior yourself requires your own units of measure (keg, jug, glass, cl), optionally lot numbers per keg, and for cocktails a bill of materials from the Manufacturing app fixing a set ratio between bottle and glass. That's a series of settings you configure yourself, not a till that counts in centiliters on its own.
On top of that, Odoo's pricing model sits on the user, not the venue. The free tier gives you one app, unlimited users, but POS plus stock together are already two apps: for that you fall back to a paid plan. How many of your staff then count as a paying "user" depends on how you set it up; Odoo itself doesn't state that anywhere clearly, so check before you do the math.
The math
At FirstPour you know it upfront: €29.99 a month, flat, for your whole team and all your devices. No separate bill per user, no annual contract.
At Odoo you pay per backend user per month: roughly €19.90 to €24.90 for the Standard plan, €29.90 to €37.40 for Custom, where the lower figures are a promotional rate for your initially ordered users, and only for the first year. Add someone later, or let the promotion lapse, and the higher list rate applies.
That makes the comparison different from a till with one fixed price: at Odoo, the final bill depends on your plan, your promo window and how many people need to log in. Keep it to a single login at the promotional rate and you land under our €29.99 for that first year. Only one person can get into the system then, and pouring behaviour is still yours to configure. From two people who need to log in, or once the promotion ends, the sum tips the other way.
